I believe that ColorCutters® are one of the coolest, most versatile tools
to hit the scrapbook industry! These archival safe, pigmented markers have a
surgical stainless steel blade in the center of the chisel tip, allowing you to
cut, crop and color the edges of your photographs and all sorts of paper from
vellum to cardstock. They will allow you to mat your photographs and journaling
in a fraction of the time - and add a real creative dimension to your pages,
cards, tags and a variety of paper crafts! At the 2003 National Art Materials
Trade Show (NAMTA) they won Best New Product and Best New Children's Product! In
the next newsletter I will include more samples and purchasing information.
TWO IMPORTANT TIPS:
Hold the entire chisel tip of the marker flat against a scrap piece of paper and
press down and pull towards you until you can feel the blade engage and begin
cutting. Some people press so lightly, they never engage the blade the first
time.
Others will pull the ColorCutter® sideways and the blade becomes tilted
and can't cut the paper. Always hold the tip flush against your cutting surface
and pull towards you, turn your paper and pull towards you, so you have better
control. They are easy and fun to use & they last for a long time.
Our 5th book published, Creative Scrapbooking Using ColorCutters®, is
filled with innovative ideas, projects and helpful tips and tricks. If you
already own a ColorCutter® and you have had trouble using it, there are two
common things people fail to do. See the "Two Important Tips" listed above for
reasons why you might be having trouble with your ColorCutter® markers.
